Well this is the second time that my XBOX has been sent into Microsoft Repair Center to get fixed. The first time was a few weeks after launch when I got the dreaded three red lights. Well the other day I’m getting ready to start up a game of Tiger Woods 08 and when I’m picking my golfer, the screen goes black with a bunch of white dots and lines.Â
After trying different cables, different tv’s etc, I call Microsoft and I hear the dreaded your xbox is not under warranty anymore, it will be $99 and 3-5 weeks to fix it. Well I really have no choice, so I give them my credit card and here I am waiting 3-5 weeks.
I need a new game, so I think I’ll pick up Orange Box for pc this weekend and play it until my xbox gets back.
Yeah I’m a little late getting this review out, but I’ve been pretty busy lately and playing Madden of course lol. I’m 4 games into my dynasty and I’m loving it so far. I’m the SanFrancisco 49ers (read my 49ers blog here) and Frank Gore is a beast on the game to go along with Alex Smith and Patrick Willis the new linebacker that hurts atleast one player a game lol.
Online play is pretty fun as well. I have only played online twice, I’m 2-0 after beating a friend both times. One thing just like in NCAA that they need to change is how many turnovers there are a game. In real life, your QB won’t throw 4 INT’s a game and have 3 fumbles as well. Other then that I really like the gameplay, the controls, and it has a really good fun factor. Definately a game where you need to grab a 12 pack (if you are of age :)) and invite some buddies over for a couple games.
I’ll give Madden 2008 a 9/10 this year. Look for my review of the new Tiger Woods 2008 next week as I should be receiving that later this week.
I have been playing NCAA 08 on XBOX 360 since last Tuesday and wow is all I can say! The game is pretty good overall and I’m just now getting the hang of online play. Damn lag keeps messing me up it seems like.
Overall the game is pretty good. The new gang tackling, hitstick, and animations are pretty nice. I also like the fact that you can record certain plays and keep them on your harddrive to show all your buddies. You can only save 5 videos so make sure you save the good ones! You can also save pictures from the replays as well so that is pretty cool.
A few things I think they could have made better was having the uniforms not be so shiny. C’mon this is football, not a dance recital! Wide open receivers still dropping passes which sucks, that should happen maybe once a game not 3-5 times. The new playbook makes it take longer to find your play, but I am getting used to it.

Wow! That is what I’ll say about the NCAA 08 Demo on XBOX 360 so far. I have only had a chance to play a few games but so far I’m loving it! Sure we don’t get to see everything yet, but we do get to play the game and that is what a demo is all about. I’ve heard rumors that this is the demo that IGN and a few other places were able to play a few months ago so I’m hoping they have made some minor changes for the final version that comes out on Tuesday.
I love the new hit stick! Watch out when you try to go high though, alot of the running backs will blow by your tackle but the lower hit stick is awesome and the players almost do flips! Another thing I have liked so far is not as many dropped passes like in NCAA Football 07. Hopefully it will be the same way during online play.Â
The players also aren’t as big and “roid like” as in 07. They are scaled back some, and I think that makes them look like they are running slower then last year like some people are complaining about. I have only had one instance where I was ran down from behind so far on a WR. But they do appear to be running a little slower but that could also just be due to it being a demo.
I hope to pick up the Strategy guide this afternoon/evening in my local walmart gets it in and will hopefully have more to talk about then!
If you are like me, you are counting down the days for the new NCAA 2008 Football game to be released! I can’t fricking wait for it, and have been playing 2007 lately just to get my gamefeel back. Even though I suck online, I’m still having fun!
I finally broke down and bought XBOX Live for one year this past weekend and so far so good! I have enjoyed playing MLB Baseball 2k7 and Fear so far. I will be trying out NCAA Football 07 in the next few days as I get geared up for NCAA Football 2008 that will be coming out next month. Gotta remember how to play it lol!
One thing I wish was for a nice keyboard/mouse setup for FPS games that I could use when playing on Live! I hate whole aiming on FPS games on the consoles but had to try out a FPS online so I rented Fear anyways.

I finally got around to renting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the XBOX 360 last week and overall I thought it was pretty good. Sure it isn’t too hard to beat, and doesn’t take that long but it is made for the younger generation so you gotta keep them happy!
The one button, or combo button attacks are all easy to do when you are attacking your opponents. One thing I would have licked is more attacks instead of the same thing over and over. The special moves for each turtle were nice, but there could have been more.
I enjoyed running around doiing flips over everything rather then the actual fights. It was pretty fun but I would only rent the game since you can beat it pretty easily and quickly.
For all you Nascar fans out there, we have just watched the Nascar 08 Trailer and all I can say is WOW! Game looks great, great graphics, and alot of different options for you to tweak your car so you get to the finish line in first! Take a look at the Nascar 08 Game Trailer and lets us know what you think!
Wow! Another great alltime classic has hit the XBOX Live Marketplace, and it is only 400 points! Go grab Double Dragon and sit your ass down and play it all day!  Wow will it bring back some memorires!

With the new graphical enhancements, the game really looks good and is worth the 400 points!
Already mastered all the songs on the new Guitar Hero 2 for XBOX360? Well you can now purchase three others via XBOX Live. Granted, the prices are pretty bad for each pack, as they will cost you 500 XBOX points each. But if you want to keep your game updated and playing new songs I suppose this is about the only way to do it.
Pack 1: “Bark at the Moon,” “Hey You,” “Ace of Spades”
Pack 2: “Killer Queen,” “Take it Off,” “Frankenstein”
Pack 3: “Higher Ground,” “Infected,” “Stellar”

If you are one of the hardcore gamers that are waiting for Halo 3 Beta well mark your calendars for May 16th! Beginning at 5 a.m. PDT on May 16th, and running until June 6th you will be able to play the long awaited for Halo 3 beta. Remember that you needed to buy a special copy of CrackDown and be a XBOX Live Gold member to play the Halo 3 beta.
In the beta, you’ll get your grubby mitts on three maps, “Snowbound,” “High Ground” and “Valhalla,” which “represent a mixture of large- and medium-scale combat environments.” You’ll also get new vehicles, like the Mongoose all-terrain vehicle, and weapons like the new and improved Assault Rifle, Brute Spiker, Spartan Laser and the new Spike Grenades.
Pictures and Videos of the rumored XBOX360 Keyboard attachment showed up on the Internet over the Easter weekend and wow, I have to admin I’m pretty impressed. It is one step closer to having a Keyboard / mouse setup for the XBOX360. (One reason why I hate FPS games on consoles)
As you can see in the picture, the keyboard attachment will connect to the XBOX360 controller via the headphone jack allowing a full qwerty keyboard to talk to all your buddies on XBOX Live!
We aren’t 100% certain that this is what it will look like, we are hearing rumors and rumors on other gaming sites saying it is a photoshop and fake, but right now all we know is Microsoft is indeed planning a keyboard attachment that will be released this summer. For now , we will go along with this one posted here!

Here it is, the trailer that everyone has been waiting for! Grand Theft AUTO IV is scheduled to be released in October so this trailer is going to have to hold some of you over until then. Or just keep playing the older GTA games.
What do you all think? I think it could have been better and shown some actual gameplay but it is so early they probably have a lot of things to work on for the gameplay part of the game. I do have to say that the buildings and textures do look pretty badass!

East coast games get your joy on today! Great news for all of you with GameFly accounts (click here for your account), GameFly has now opened a new distribution center in Pittsburgh, PA! The center will now be able to get games up and down the east coast faster then ever.
Right now GameFly says they will only use the center for selected members so they can work out all the kinks of the new place. Once things get rolling they will go full force and begin adding more members to the center. GameFly will be putting out an official release in 1-2 months.

Xbox360 Elite has enough space for a library of Xbox LIVE Arcade games and thousands of songs, as well as downloadable high-definition TV shows and movies available on Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The new 120GB hard drive also will be sold as a stand-alone accessory to give current Xbox360 owners greater choice and flexibility in their games and entertainment experience. Additional Xbox360 Elite accessories, such as the black Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, Xbox 360 Play & Charge kit and the Xbox 360 rechargeable battery, will be available separately. The Xbox360 Elite and its accessories are expected to begin arriving in U.S. stores on April 29.
So for $79 mor then the standard premium XBOX360, you can now pick up the Elite model that will upgrade your 20GB hard drive to a 120GB model, give you HDMI support, and a nice black finish. For most people they don’t need a 120GB hard drive, or HDMI as most families still don’t have a Hi-Def TV. Save your $80 and pick up an extra game is my recommendation!
According to Siliconera, who claim to have seen “various retailer release lists”, Electronic Arts will publish a new Simpsons game called The Simpsons Game, presumably as a tie-in to the movie. They plan on releasing it on all consoles it sounds like so be ready sometime in November!
Some Simpsons games have been fun, while some have been pretty bad. I guess it just comes down to who makes the game and how much time and money they put into it. It’s too bad that 4 publishers have already made Simpsons games in the past and one of them haven’t hit the jackpot yet.
Reports are spreading like wild fire on the Internet today about XBOX Live Accounts being hacked and running up the credit cards on the accounts with tons of XBOX Live Points. It is being reported that if you had an XBOX Live account on Bungie.net then you probably got hit. So you had better go check it out and try to stop these fraud charges.
So far, Microsoft isn’t doing anything about it rather then saying they are working on it. Hmm sounds just like Microsoft and their Windows operating systems!
Those of you waiting for a Air Tatical game, well good news as Ace Combat 6 is coming to the XBOX360 and only to the XBOX360.Â
There will be two huge additions to the series with the first being the Dynamic Mission system. Players will be teaming up with ally pilots that can be manipulated to take care of various tasks outside the scope of the primary objective, which can then open up new missions mid-battle.
The other addition? Online play, of course. While no number of players are mentioned, there are currently battle royal and team battle modes, as well as a co-operative play that allows players to team-up against an enemy force.
There is not a release date for Ace Combat 6 at this time, but I would expect it to be atleast sometime in the fall.
